Bass guitar, because you have no choice but to feel the music. The thunder peals and your heart responds of it's own violation. It's instinctive and primal like any bass line of worth. When I lay down the bass I try to stay in touch with these instictive feelings and fill the song with a natural energy. Because of the way I play the music I read is usualy simple, G D C, and then I fill and flesh each time I play. Playing live is the greatest opportunity to really be heard and to share my soul. It is justification.
